Trailblazer Programme
The Trailblazer Programme supports people to develop essential life skills, employability skills, and confidence for the next stage of their journey. It combines practical learning with support that is personal, encouraging, and realistic.
Employability & personal development
The programme helps people move closer to employment, volunteering, education, or training. Support includes CV creation and updating, job searching, application support, interview preparation, goal setting, and action planning.
Skills for everyday life
Participants can also build digital skills, workplace communication skills, literacy, numeracy, and ESOL. These skills help people feel more ready for work and more confident in daily life.
Woodwork and practical learning
A key part of Trailblazer is our woodwork provision. Participants can work at a pace that suits them, from simple sanding and finishing tasks through to measuring, assembling, and making finished products.
Creative and environmental activity
Participants work with reclaimed timber and take part in a range of practical projects such as chopping boards, planters, stools, bird boxes, and garden furniture. They also engage in recycling, upcycling, green space activity, and growing local produce.
Wider benefits
The programme helps people build confidence, develop routine, improve problem-solving, and feel a sense of achievement. It also supports community connection and environmental responsibility.
